Good Parts refer to the products or units that meet quality standards without defects and do not require rework or repair. These are the parts that can be shipped or used immediately after production.
Good Parts are used in the Quality calculation of OEE, representing the proportion of total production that is successfully made to specification.
The formula for the Quality component of OEE is:
Quality (%) = (Good Parts ÷ Total Parts Produced) × 100
- Good Parts are the products that pass inspection.
- Total Parts Produced includes both good parts and defective parts.
Maximising the number of Good Parts is essential for maintaining high efficiency, reducing waste, and lowering production costs.
